Panoramic view of the interior produced with the Nodal Ninja UR10 Business kit.
We recently visited the Stew & Oyster bar at 486 Roundhay Road, Oakwood Leeds LS8 2HU, which opened in May 2012 in the premises previously occupied by the HSBC Bank. Rather than keeping the 'bank' style interior the designers have opted for a look and style which has drawn a lot of comments - take a 360º view and form your own opinion! (You can also take a look upstairs...)
We photographed panoramas on both floors, using the Nodal Ninja UR10 Business kit. Our technique was to take photos at 90º intervals, giving 4 points of the compass for a full rotation, at the same time 'bracketing' the shots, so taking 3 images at each point, one under exposed, one at standard exposure and one over exposed. These images were then combined, stitched and blended using 'PTGui' software, then published for web and mobile viewing using the Pano2VR software to produce the panorama above in both FLASH and HTML5 formats, with this page scripted to present the correct version depending upon which platform/browser/device you are using to view.
Hardware checklist for producing this panorama:
Sigma 8mm Fish-eye lens. Canon 450D 'crop frame' DSLR camera. Nodal Ninja UR10 Business kit mounted to EZ Leveller MKII ('Easy Leveller') onto tripod.
