Panoramic view of the bay produced with a Nodal Ninja RS-2 Ring Mount Panorama head.
We visited The Greek Island of Rhodes in Spring 2014, and the opportunity to visit the beautiful 'Anthony Quinn Bay' could not be missed.
Apparently my namesake fell in love with this bay while on the island filming the movie 'Guns of Navarone' in 1961. He then made a purchase, although this continues be in dispute to this day as the Greek State maintains that the sale of the bay and land was never fully completed. The shallow bay has clear warm water for bathing, and as you can see, no shortage of sun-loungers for hire on the pebbly beach.
Hardware checklist for producing this panorama:
Sigma 8mm Fish-eye lens. Canon 550D 'crop frame' DSLR camera. Nodal Ninja RS-2 Ring Mount Panorama Head mounted to EZ Leveller MKII ('Easy Leveller') onto tripod. Images stitched and 'mirror ball' added in PTGui, interactive panorama output to Flash and HTML5 using Pano2VR.
Location: Anthony Quinn Bay. The island of Rhodes (Rodos), Greece. Photographer: Anthony Quinn.
