Shown below is the Ultimate R1 adjustable tilt head, mounted to an optional rotator base.
Features and Highlights
Arca Swiss Compatible quick release design.
8 precise on-the-fly tilting 'up or down' options (-15, -10, -7.5, -2.5, 0, +5, +7.5, +12.5 deg) widely used by professionals for different applications, making R1 universal for all circular and full frame fisheye lens.
Options to capture (off-set from No-Parallax-Point) the zenith (up shot) and nadir (down shot) making nadir and zenith patching easier and making sharp long exposure captures possible.
Rolling the camera/lens in any position including the popular 0, 60 and 90 degree positions.
Lens clamp permanently mounted to lens making reproducible mounting possible, and much quicker to setup.
Different cameras can be used on the same lens without adjusting any settings.
Compact and light weight great for use on monopods and Pano Poles.
The optional NEW RD10 advanced rotator base model has click stops at 120º, 90º, 60º, 36º and 10º - giving 3, 4, 6, 10 or 36 'click stops' per revolution detent options and pan lock. (need a different number of clicks? remember you can 'skip' alternate clicks to give 2, 5, 18 etc!)
Features of the optional RD10 rotator base:
Photo: Nodal Ninja Rotator R10 top:
Compact, lightweight with 10 detent options ranging from 90 to 5 degrees that can be changed on the fly. Suitable for fisheye, wide angle and telephoto lenses up to 200mm equivalent focal length with camera in portrait orientation.
10 different degree stop increments (with equivalent number of stops around) include:
5 (72 stops)*
7.5 (48 stops)*
10 (36 stops)
15 (24 stops)
18 (20 stops)*
30 (12 stops)*
36 (10 stops)
45 (8 stops)*
60 (6 stops)
90 (4 stops)
*Requires dual detent plungers.
Weight: 2.02lbs (920g)
Lower rail: 200mm
Upper and vertical rail: 190mm
*On the lower rotator there are detent holes marked for instance '60º' - putting a detent plunger into this hole and screwing in fully would mean an increment of 60 degrees between clicks, if the second detent plunger is then additionally screwed into the hole maked '60º/2' this means both these plungers are working, the second one effectively halving the increment to 30º and of course doubling the number of clicks per revolution from 6 to 12.
Likewise for the other holes 90º 36º 15º 10º - each has a corresponding second hole which performs a similar function in halving the number of degree between clicks, and doubling the number of clicks per full 360º rotation.

Below is an example of the type of panorama you can create using photographs taken with your camera and lens mounted to the Nodal Ninja R1 panorama head.
This panorama of cliffs in Zante is created from just 4 photos, using a Sigma 8mm lens on a 'crop frame' sensor DSLR camera - for example a Canon 550D. The photos have been stitched together. The resulting image has been published as a 'HTML5' file for viewing online and on phones and tablets using the Pano2VR software. The Pano2VR software also allows the nadir (bottom) of the image to be output as a 'cube face' image to quickly retouch the area where the tripod stood, and add some credit text.
