The GigaPan motorised panorama heads can also be used to create full 360 degree panoramas - let the pano head do the work for you, even very high resolution multi-shot, multi-row images can be produced, and uploaded to gigapan.com or then stitched and published using software such as Pano2VR (additional software required)

Based on technology developed by NASA for the Mars Rover, the EPIC 100 is strong enough to hold a camera and lens combinations up to 3.0 lbs (1.36 kg). With the GigaPan Stitch software, these photos are efficiently combined into a seamless panorama that can be easily uploaded to GigaPan.com, where you can view, share, embed, tag, and print your images.

Some small DSLR cameras are compatible with the EPIC 100. Keep in mind that the maximum diameter of lens (filter size) that will fit on the EPIC 100 is 62mm. If using a lens with a larger filter size or total weight of camera body, lens and accessories exceeds 3 lbs, you should use the EPIC Pro if compatible.
Camera must physically fit on the GigaPan EPIC 100
For a camera to fit on the GigaPan EPIC 100, it should be no more than approx. 148 mm wide (left to right) and 69 mm deep (front to back). The weight limit is 3 lbs.

EPIC 100 E3 Trigger Cable – for some cameras the EPIC 100 has an option for electronic triggering, via a remote port trigger cable. This cable is an accessory and can be purchased from the EPIC/EPIC 100 Accessories page.
EPIC 100 E3 Trigger Cable: OPTIONAL for Canon Cameras G10 – 12 and Rebel Series Xt EOS 350D through Rebel Xti EOS 400D. Optional for Pentax K100, K100D, K110D, K200D and K5.
EPIC 100 E3 Trigger Cable: REQUIRED for Canon models Rebel XSi EOS 450Dm, T1i EOS 500D, T2i EOS 550D, T3i EOS 600D, XS EOS 1000D and T3 EOS 1100D. The increased angle of the shutter button on these cameras inhibits the use of the mechanical button pusher.
